Finland and Israel have signed a deal for the delivery of the Israeli David’s Sling high-altitude missile defence system to the Finnish Defence Forces.
The Israeli Ministry of Defence shared news of the 316-million-euro deal on messaging service X on Sunday.
The system can intercept ballistic and cruise missiles, aircraft and drones, according to news agency AFP.
The weapons platform significantly increases the reach of Finland’s air defence capabilities.
Despite recent attention focused on Israel in response to its conflict with Hamas, Finland’s Ministry of Defence said it has not impacted the arms deal.
