Finland’s Security Intelligence police Supo says that the country’s terror threat level remains unchanged despite the elevated danger apparently facing Sweden.

Authorities in Sweden have raised their alert level in response to increased anti-Sweden propaganda in radical islamist channels after several protests at which the Quran was burned.

Supo says there is no similar propaganda aimed at Finland, so the threat remains unchanged. The agency said that it is following the situation closely, however.

In an email to STT, Supo said that the legislative environment in Finland gives greater possibilities to prevent Quran-burning protests.

Foreign Ministry official Jussi Tanner told Yle that it had no immediate plans to change travel advice concerning Sweden, but that security was on the agenda at a Nordic Council meeting on Thursday.

Tanner did not anticipate that Finland would advise against travel to Sweden, however. Travel information was updated on the ministry’s website, saying that the Swedish security police rank the threat of terrorism at a level three on its five point scale.
