Renta Group has acquired Finnish company MP-Yhtymä in an asset deal comprising the operative assets of MP-Yhtymä.

As well as operating in the machinery rental market, MP-Yhtymä provides site condition management and heating, measurement and expert services to its customers from its headquarters in Tampere as well as two other locations in Finland.

The acquisition of the company, which employs 15 members of staff, adds €3 million in revenue to Renta Group.

According to Renta Group, the purchase will allow it to “further strengthen its position in the important market areas of Tampere and the capital region” and will extend its service offering in measurement and expert services.

Kari Aulasmaa, CEO of Renta Group, said, “MP-Yhtymä has established a strong position in its area of operations and is known for its high-quality services. We are delighted to join forces with a profitable company that shares our ambition to provide excellent customer service and drive the industry forward.

“The acquisition will broaden our offering to customers, further strengthen our position in Tampere and the capital region and gives us a good platform to continue grow site condition management and expert services in Finland.”

Matti Puranen, founder of MP-Yhtymä, added, “I look forward to the future as part of Renta, which has shown a genuine interest in developing and growing our business. By joining forces with Renta, we will be able to further develop our services to our customers.

“We will have access to significantly greater resources, a wider range of products and Renta’s digital solutions. In particular, I am confident that Renta will provide a good home for our employees.”
