CGI said Wednesday that it has been chosen by the Finnish Food Authority to continue developing and maintaining its farm-subsidy system.
The Canadian IT and business consulting services company said it was selected to develop and maintain the Finnish Land Parcel Identification System which supports the calculation of national and EU farm subsidies paid by the regulator.
As part of the agreement, CGI will provide satellite imagery, AI and cloud computing technologies to help the regulator improve the performance of the system.
The contract has a price tag of 10 million euro, or $10.8 million.
