The Akimat of Atyrau region is taking measures to stabilize prices for socially important food products. This was announced by the head of the regional department of entrepreneurship and tourism Nurbol ZHANABEKOV.
The price of onion rose in the country. In this regard, negotiations are underway on deliveries with Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
“The Social Enterprise Corporation will conclude contracts only if the vegetables are of good quality and reasonable prices. Today, onions from Tajikistan are taken to be sold by Ideal Market LLC. In addition, deliveries are planned from the Zhambyl region and the West Kazakhstan region,” says N. Zhanabekov.
Now about 60 outlets of the region sell socially significant products of 18 types. According to experts, their prices are 15 percent below market prices. In order to eliminate the shortage of sugar, a preliminary agreement was also concluded with the Koksu plant.
“In addition, this year, Kyzanak Agro plans to increase the sown area from 160 to 300 hectares and harvest more than 5 thousand tons of agricultural products in the fall – this will also help stabilize prices,” says Gulmira MENDALIEVA, General Manager of JSC SEC Atyrau . . It should be noted that now the stabilization fund has 813 tons of vegetables, which should be enough until May.
